Riverside Estate Planning & Elder Law Attorney
For more than 27 years, I have helped individuals and families with their Estate Planning and Elder Law needs.
My passion for estate planning was ignited by my father. He was a physician in Riverside and the smartest guy I knew. He treated his patients with exceptional care and expertise and showed me how to serve others in their time of need.
When I was 18, my mother passed away, and my father had to probate her estate. It lasted years. That experience convinced him that no one should opt for probate if they could avoid it. Knowing that I preferred law to medicine, my father encouraged me to consider becoming an estate planning attorney. He helped me see how proper planning could really reduce the anxiety that people feel about dealing with issues involving incapacity and death. My expertise as an elder law attorney allows me to provide clients dealing with the challenges presented by Alzheimer’s and other chronic conditions with confidence rather than feeling that they are simply lurching from crisis to crisis.
I am a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles. I also earned an MS degree in Applied Biometry from University of Southern California, an MA in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a BA in English from the University of California, Riverside.
I am actively involved in my community. I support many worthy causes and have served on numerous boards including the Riverside Community College District Foundation, the Riverside Public Library Foundation, the Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center Foundation, and the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.
I live in Riverside with my partner, Mary Ritchie, who is the Director of Golf at UC Riverside.
