For almost 30 years, I have helped individuals and families with their estate planning and elder law needs.

My passion for estate planning was inspired by my father, a physician in Riverside who showed me what it means to serve people during important and difficult moments in their lives. When I was 18, my mother passed away, and my father was left to probate her estate—a process that lasted for years. That experience convinced him that, whenever possible, families should be spared the time, expense, and uncertainty of probate.

Knowing I was drawn to law rather than medicine, he encouraged me to consider estate planning as a career. He helped me understand that thoughtful planning can provide families with clarity and confidence when confronting incapacity, illness, and death.

My work in elder law also allows me to help clients and their families plan for the challenges associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other chronic conditions, so they can make informed decisions rather than simply moving from one crisis to the next.

I am a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. I also hold an M.S. in Applied Biometry from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in English from the University of California, Riverside.

I have long been involved in the Riverside community and have served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Riverside Community College District Foundation, Riverside Public Library Foundation, Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center Foundation, and Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.

I am married to my partner, Mary, and we live in Central California with our dogs, Abby and Riley.
